Reliance Automation represents Staubli robotics as exclusive Irish distributor

Staubli Robotics introduces explosion-proof & cleanroom robots to Ireland through Reliance Automation

Reliance Automation, the leading Irish supply partner of robotics and automation equipment, recently announced that it has partnered with Staubli Robotics for the Irish Market.  This new partnership is a first for Staubli Robotics and it strengthens Reliance Automation’s unique range of robotic technologies for the Irish market. Reliance now offers industrial robots, collaborative robots and specialised robots for pharmaceutical and food manufacturing sectors.

Staubli is a world leading Swiss multinational mechatronics innovator and manufacturer. Staubli was stablished in 1892 and with a workforce of 5500 today, the Stäubli Group generates a yearly turnover of 1.3 billion euros. The company has 14 industrial production sites as well as presence through business units and agents in 50 countries.  Since its formation in 1892, the company has split into 3 divisions, Staubli Textiles, Staubli Connectors and Staubli robotics.  Staubli robotics was set up in 1982 and produces scara and 6 axis robots.

Reliance Automation is a leading force in the Irish automation industry and is recognised for regularly introducing new innovative solutions.  Reliance monitors manufacturing trends and anticipates demands in specific sectors that is demanding improved efficiencies, reliability and productivity.  With employment at an all-time high level and operators as well as skilled labour in desperate demand, robotics is a solution that must be considered, particularly in pharmaceutical, chemical and food manufacturing sectors.  According to the CSO figures gathered in 2019, food, pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing in Ireland equates to 74% of all production.  The top then industrial enterprises account for 49.2% of overall production.

These three sectors have very specific manufacturing automation needs because of health and safety regulations such as cleanroom robots, explosion proof robots and wash down robots.  The addition of Staubli to Reliance Automation’s portfolio of technologies now means a more comprehensive range of robotic solutions is available to benefit manufacturing.

Reliance Automation was an obvious choice for Staubli too as their exclusive distributor due to their knowledge and experience spanning almost 100 years.  The business also has strong partnership agreements with Ireland’s machine builders to compliment the supply of equipment with the overall construction of the manufacturing system.  With four offices in Ireland in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Belfast, Reliance Automation can offer on the ground support 365 days a year.
